video chat with dad!

Last night i had my very first video chat session with Dad! At first, things would only work for 2 seconds and then everything froze. Then we figured it was probably due to his bandwidth.. As it turned out, Dad was using another computer to watch internet video from his home. (Both computers were on the same network, sharing the same bandwidth...) After he turned that off, we were able to video chat. The image quality was pretty good, so was the audio quality. I gotta say the experience was a lot more pleasant than trying to talk to him on our cell phones. Dad was very cute. He brought over a desk lamp just so I can see him in a better lighting. Then he showed off his iPod Nano and iPod Video to me, looking totally like a paid commercial.. so I countered him with an iPod Touch and an iPhone. It was pretty funny.. i'm looking forward to set up video chat between Dad and Grandpa! Hee hee.

便便的意外事件

昨晚小Evie大完便便之後幫她換尿布,不小心被她搶抓髒尿布...情急之下,我趕快把尿步抽走.誰知道她這次的大便比較不黏..就飛出來了....我的第一反應是"老公!救命!!相機在哪裡?!"

寶貝貝終於可以在大廳亂跑了

在我爺爺奶奶家因為有隻討厭的小狗的緣故,我們一直不想讓寶貝貝在狗會出沒的地方亂跑.可是自從9月開始讓她在很多地方都可以跑跑的情況下,再不讓她在自己家的客廳跑好像實在說不過去了.所以開始給她穿鞋試試看.後來發現鞋鞋要嘛會磨腳,要嘛會很滑,不然就是太大又太軟,跑來兩步就會歪掉.總之沒一雙鞋ok的.最後我放棄了,給她穿襪子就算了.今天趕快去買多一打襪子.每雙襪子只要在客廳跑過半個小時,就得洗了..好想趕快搬家!!

new wedding ring

When we decided to get married back in December of 2004, I told hubby not to get me a diamond ring because I would rather the money be spent towards our new home. Obviously he didn't agree with me.. and he got me a diamond ring anyway, which he put on my finger on our wedding day, February 2nd, 2005. It was purchased (supposedly) without my knowledge by his mom, on his behalf, when she was on vacation in Hong Kong with dad. The original ring was not made to my size, so it was resized in Toronto and was a bit bent due to the resizing work. (And yet, it was still about a 3/4 size too large..)

About a couple of months after Evie was born, the prongs became loose for some reason - maybe because I'm a brutal ring wearer, doing dishes with it and all.. Or perhaps the ring knew I didn't like it that much so it didn't want to hold on tight to the diamond any more.. I stopped wearing when the diamond became loose in the setting.

Hubby's been very nice about it. He knows I'm kind of weird (very picky) about my jewelry so he offered to get a new custom setting for me, in a design I choose. After hours and hours of web browsing (which translates into months of lapsed time), I finally found my ideal design.. no more prongs; made to my size, from my dearest hubby. Thank you so very much baby! You are the best :)

小Evie愛推車.

前天下午和老公在Bayview Village會合, 陪他吃午飯, 然後他去那附近的YMCA做運動. 順便帶小Evie逛逛. 因為我想說可能會買東西, 所以就給小Evie坐她的推車, 方便一點. 起先爸爸推她都還好好的. 後來突然她就要我抱抱了. 那好吧, 我就抱她, 然後爸爸繼續推著她的車走. 後來小Evie就拼命扭過去要推她的推車. 那很難抱耶, 扭來扭去的她, 然後還那麼用力的推. 爸爸想說不如讓她推一下吧, 就說他來抱小Evie, 基本上是捧著她, 讓她可以面對正前方推她的車. 這種抱法很累的. 平常我都盡量避免. 所以爸爸才說他抱. 小Evie推的可高興的了. 不肯放手耶. 有時候車車歪掉了我幫她推正, 她還把我的手撥開, 不讓我推耶. 就這樣讓她推了半個mall的距離, 還坐電梯下停車場, 一直推到要上車了都不肯放手! 大哭耶!! 爸爸有點不知所措, 我就把小Evie放上車, 帶好安全帶, 由得她哭, 把她的水杯綁在她身邊, 然後跟爸爸說拜拜, 就上車走了. 車一開小Evie大概也知道沒戲唱了, 就自顧自的喝水, 也不再哭了.. 下次跟她逛街到底推不推車好咧?!

小Evie像外婆,愛乾淨!

前兩天我們終於開始讓小Evie在我們在地下室的走廊和我們的房間亂跑了. 之前一直想說大掃除之後再讓她落地, 可是我想反正她跑完就直接洗澡了, 沒差吧. 反正樓下的地板沒有狗的污染. 只不過有灰塵, 沒什麼大不了的. 就直接把她放下來讓她走走. 其實我一個月前也有試過讓她在我們房間的地上走走, 可是那時她對自己走路的本領還不夠有自信吧, 還是怕怕的, 要抱. 後來是每次去爺爺嬤嬤家都在他們家的客廳給她走走, 才開始建立了自信. 然後這禮拜一在朋友家BBQ也讓她跑了個夠. 終於在我們房間和外面的走廊也不怕了. 跑來跑去開心的不得了. 一面她在跑, 一面我和老公在用紙拖把紙撢子清理灰塵. 小Evie看到了, 拼命要搶紙拖把. 我看她很愛拖的樣子, 就把紙拖把的柄拆掉兩截, 變成短短的紙拖把, 就讓小Evie去慢慢拖了, 哈哈. 真是愛乾淨耶. 像外婆哦~看到小Evie跑來跑去笑的好開心的模樣, 實在是好可愛喔~
