this week, i had my final chemo treatment on Tuesday, and my first internal radiation treatment on Thursday. i have not been feeling well at all - maybe because of the combined effects of the chemo and the internal radiation... feeling quite nauseous most of the time. hopefully i will feel better next week when the last effects of the chemo leave me alone. however, i do have good news to share. we just confirmed with the dr. that i will not need further treatment after i complete this treatment program. so, after 5 chemo treatments (all done), 30 external radiation treatments (half done), and 5 internal radiation treatments (one done), i will be free of cancer. That's a total of 35 treatment days - 7 weeks in total. i should be completing the program at the end of this month. and then 2 wks afterwards i should be able to travel! so.. we're planning to go to taiwan so i can see my parents and relatives and friends~ we'll go without Evie; otherwise, it'd be too much work.. we'll probably travel 3 wks after i'm done treatment just to be on the safe side. (my body needs time to recover from the treatment.) and will only go for 2 wks so that Evie won't miss us too much. also i'll need to be back for my first dr. appointment, which is 6 wks after treatment is over. they'll keep monitoring me for 5 years. all in all.. i'm really looking forward to being cancer-free again!!

It's a good idea that you guys are going back to TW for a short trip. You and Stan deserve a nice break. :) :) :) Still happy smiling.
